She closed her eyes and let out a deep breath she hadn't even realized she'd been holding. She doesn't really understand the whole "ka" business, but his meaning is clear enough and that's pretty much all that matters. It's not like she's proposing to him or anything, but the idea of being completely alone in this world is so terrifying she can't even really look directly at it.
"Thanks," she says finally and with genuine feeling. Giving him a quick kiss, she steps back and takes a look around the room, spotting what she thinks is exactly what she'd been looking for. "Now if you'll excuse me for a minute..."
She drops his hand and heads over to a nearby low table, surrounded by several very attractive and very buzzed looking people snorting lines of what she is hoping to god is this world's equivalent of coke. "Please tell me that's a stimulant," she said to the adorable twink looking up at her with a smile and shining eyes. "And please tell me you'll share."
