Diane kept hold of Pia's hand, adjusting herself slightly on the chair so that the other woman could more comfortably rest against her, but her eyes stayed on Roland. He looked...odd. Even for him.
"You ok?" she asked, trying not to sound too concerned and ruin the mood.
Pia stopped her before she could say anything else. "Don't worry," she said in a soothing tone before addressing the rest to Roland. "It's the drink. It's meant to help...encourage our guests to enjoy themselves more fully. If you aren't enjoying it, I can bring you something to counteract the effects?"
It took Diane a second to realize what Pia was talking about and then she couldn't not laugh. "Oh my god, the waiter roofied you?!"
