She has no idea how far they've run but she's definitely out of breath by the time she tugs on his hand to pull him to a stop. A pack a day habit will do that to a person and it's not like she ever has to go anywhere at more than a comfortable walking pace in her normal life.

"Hold up," she pants out. Other hand on her side where the stitch has started. "There's nothing following us."

She doesn't bother adding that she can't go any further because it's kind of obvious just looking at her.
